The Arizona West Valley Open ID showcase camp held Saturday January 5 at Valley Vista High School was a huge success for college coaches in attendance as well as the Arizona high school baseball players that attended. Dominic Fotino-2013-Coconino
Fotino, an usigned senior, is a solidly built 5'11" 180 pound catcher from Coconio. Catches from a strong base and showed agility behind the plate.
Brandon Burke-2013-Canyon Del Oro
Burke, an unsigned senior, is a slick fielding MIF from Canyon Del Oro. Slightly undersized at 5'9" and 160 pounds, showed the ability to make all of the routine plays with an accurate, online arm. At the plate, shows a disciplined approach and the ability to square the ball up.
Chase Beal-2014-Queen Creek
Beal, a physical specimen at 6'5" and 220 pounds, was one of the top arms at the Central Valley Open ID event. Beal sat consistently at 85-86, and touched 87, while showing mound presence and discipline on the bump.
Koty Fallon-2015-Valley Vista
Fallon, a 6-4 175 pound soph at Valley Vista impressed at both the Viper Challenge and West Valley events. On the mound touched 84, sitting consistently 81-83. Displayed a short, compact stroke with gap power and the ability to make all the routine plays at SS. Very projectable, he will be a young player to watch.
Rudy Karre - 2015 - Liberty
Karre, a 6-1 160 pound soph at Liberty, showed his versatility at the Central Valley event by playing SS, OF, C, and then jumping on the mound and touching 87 with his fastball. With a lean, projectable, frame, Karre showed a strong arm from the outfield and overall athletic ability.
